Did you know that October is National Principals Month? Seems like the perfect time to acknowledge the important role of the school principal and maybe even surprise him or her with a favorite treat. Why not have your students make and sign a banner in honor of your school principal? Or maybe invite your students to make cards or write letters to the guy or gal in charge of your school. I’ve always believed it takes a special person to be a school principal. And, quite honestly, I have never had a secret desire to become one!

I have absolutely no desire to become a principal. God bless them for taking on this thankless job, but no thank you. My heart is with the kids in the classroom. I get my motivation from them every day.
