Lovely Letter Bracelets!

letter bracelets 1So I was cruising around on our website recently when I came upon these consonant letter bracelets. I love them! What a fun prop to add to the study of each letter in an early childhood class. So what can you do with them? Well, I have a few ideas!

  • Have each child wear a letter bracelet home to show her parents the letter being studied.
  • Attach a bracelet to each child’s hand. Show students letter cards, on at a time, and have them raise their hands when the card matches their bracelet.
  • Attach a bracelet to each child’s nondominant hand. Then encourage her to look at her wrist as she writes her letter in a sand or rice tray.
  • Use the bracelets as rewards for mastering each letter.
  • Have students wear the bracelet that reflects the current letter of study. Then lead them in singing the song below as they wave their bracelets in the air!

(sung to the tune of “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain”)letter bracelets 2

Oh, my bracelet has a [B]—this letter’s great!
And believe me that I don’t exaggerate!
[B]’s fantastic, [B] is fine.
It’s says, [/b/, /b/] all the time!
Oh, my bracelet has a [B]—this letter’s great!
