  1. My kindergarten students have D.E.A.R. time each day. After lunch and after snack each student takes time to read a book in our library or on our “special” reading shelf. They get so excited when I get a new book and put it out for them to use. They love to look at the books and really get to work on their reading skills! It shows them that they can have fun reading.

I love the freebies this month! I have already visited the Shel Silverstein website and ordered my free scissors from westcott! Thank you so much for the great ideas! I love checking them out each week!

  2. Love, love, love the ideas on the Westcott site. Also love
the DEAR one. We didn’t have an official DEAR time on April 12,but my students adore reading time. They read on the floor, with stuffed animals and to and with each other.I’m so excited to see this happening now that they are able to read independently!

  3. Wow once again GREAT resources. I have already signed up for the Get Set for School on line training. Really looking forward to it.
    Have a Great Easter Everyone.

  4. I really enjoyed the shelsilverstein.com site, the resources on there are great! I love all of the resources you shared though!

  5. I like the offer from Wescott. I recieved two pair of free scissors from last year and was extremely impressed with the quality.

  6. I have always loved Beverly Cleary and I absolutely LOVE the idea of DEAR. I have been at schools where they have daily DEAR time and it is great!

  7. I love the idea of getting free scissors! My scissors are definitely wearing out so hopefully I will get some new ones! Thanks for sharing the link with me!

  8. Thank you Karen for the resource on the Get set for school webinar training session. I just attend it and it was great. I learned some new things and was reminded of some old things. Great resource that I recommend to everyone.
