It’s Almost November!

Majestic...but not very exciting.

Majestic…but not very exciting.

I can’t believe I’m saying this—because it feels like it was just August. But before we know it, November will be here and we’ll be heading toward Thanksgiving Day at breakneck speed. To get you prepared, I have a few intriguing turkey facts to share!

  • Turkeys have 5,000 to 6,000 feathers.
  • Turkeys can be very affectionate, similar to dogs.
  • Wild turkeys can fly up to 55 miles per hour, but only for short distances.
  • Turkeys can see in color, and their vision is three times better than 20/20.

After doing the research to find these turkey facts, I’ve come to the conclusion that turkeys really aren’t exciting birds. But do you know what is exciting?
