Here’s something to start you off: set the stage for character development with these DVD and book/cd sets. Exclamation Mark is about self discovery, filling in, and standing out; Lucky Ducklings is a true story about the rescue of a mama duck and her five ducklings that ties in with community helpers, nature, and families; and This Is Not My Hat considers conflict resolution and problem solving when a little fish takes a hat that doesn’t belong to it. Submit a comment to the blog by 11:59 pm EDT Sunday, August 17, 2014, to tell me which of the items below are your favorites. One lucky teacher will win my copies of these DVD and book/cd sets! (Update: congratulations to Kelly! She is our winner.)

  1. We used the resources for Flat Stanley with our 2nd and 3rd graders and they loved it. I’d love to have the DVD/book sets to use with our character trait lessons.
