Fun Finds for Summer—Plus a Prize to Keep Everyone Happy

I never worry about being bored. There’s always a project to tackle or a burning item on my to-do list (which probably should be called my “should-have-done-it-a-long-time-ago list”).

However kids do get bored. This week’s blog prize helps ensure that the kids in your life won’t suffer that fate. The Kid’s Awesome Activity Book from Workman includes puzzles, mazes, jokes, and stickers sure to keep kids grandkids, nieces, nephews, neighbor kids, and other junior achievers busy and happy.

How can you win? Send a comment to this blog to let us know what’s next on your summer to-do list. Make sure we get your comment by 11:59 pm on July 11 to be entered in our random drawing. You should have your prize right in time for the first utterance of “I’m bored….”

There’s nothing boring about the assortment of fun freebies and other goodies we’ve gathered for you. Take a look!

Keep kids practicing skills at sugarcane.com. You’ll find lots of free educational games, and you can even create your own game on any topic. Now’s the perfect time to give it a try!

Get hands-on with these printable models. Print the Statue of Liberty, the Great Pyramids, the Eiffel Tower, and more. Kids, cut, fold, and learn. Get started at PaperToys.com.

Explore big ideas with Creatubbles—a safe community for young makers and creators. Once kids discover these creative challenges, boredom will be gone for good. Visit creatubbles.com.

Next on my summer to-do list? Finish planning our vacation. If I don’t hurry it’ll be here and I won’t be ready!
