  1. My favorite book would have to be “Shooting at the Stars -The Christmas Truce of 1914.” My grandma’s family immigrated from Zagreb, Croatia, before WWI
WWI to escape the political unrest. My grandma recalls her parents talking about relatives that were left behind and how awful the fighting was. She also said that the story of the Christmas Truce gave them hope, that there still was hope for peace.

  2. I love the classic Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. I have not heard of the other two books, but would love to read them to my class if I win.

  3. The chance to win an Office Depot or OfficeMax gift is my favorite! I am going back into the classroom after being out for nine years, and I sure could use some classroom supplies!

  4. The Rudolph book would be a wonderful keepsake to read to my students and grandchildren. I saw it the first year it was on TV, I was nine years old.

  5. You can not go wrong with a classic like Rudolph but it is also nice to learn new favorites such as Merry Christmas, Davy or introduce positive actions like Shooting Stars.

  6. I love the Davy Christmas book that talks about sharing. I am always looking for good literature to help me discuss social skills in my special needs classroom.
