Celebrating Moms and Dads: Win These Books

I got so wrapped up in Teacher Appreciation Week last week that I blew right past Mother’s Day. Oh no! The good news is, the books I am giving away are so cute you’ll totally forgive me.

This week’s prizes are:

Superhero Mom (Nosy Crow), a fun story about a mom’s daily superhero feats. You’ll love the vibrant art!

A Celebration of Dads: Side by Side (Phaidon), by Caldecott Winner Chris Raschka. Dads and kids will recognize themselves in the antics.

Here’s how to get a chance to win these books. Submit a comment to this blog by May 29 and share your favorite item that we’re featuring this week. (Update: Congratulations to Julie, our lucky winner!) One lucky teacher will be randomly selected to win.

Here are this week’s featured favorites:

Gearing up for summer reading? Young readers will find just the right book at just the right level with Simon & Schuster Ready-to-Read and Quix books. Ready-to-Reads star beloved characters from PJ Masks, Peanuts, Olivia, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and many more, at levels for brand-new readers through proficient readers. Quix are the next step, between Ready-to-Reads and longer chapter books, and feature short paragraphs and chapters, colorful characters, and kid-friendly humor. Bonus: Sign up for updates from Simon & Schuster and get a free ebook. Click here.

Disney Books has a stack of 30 books waiting for one lucky teacher. Will it be you? Enter the Grow With Books sweepstakes and you could win. Plus download dozens of free teacher’s guides and free activities for teaching social-emotional learning. Click here.

The Teacher Appreciation Week party isn’t over; Chobani is still celebrating teachers! Nominate a teacher (including yourself) for a chance to win a prize pack worth up to $5,000. Prize packs are filled with art materials, gardening items, or sports equipment. Click here.

  1. I am a single mom working full time! I feel that there are a lot of moms in my Headstart classroom who are also single parents working outside and inside their homes … supermoms! Even moms who are part of a two-parent home are super hero moms because all moms raise a tiny human being from baby to full grown sacrificing at times their own comfort and using whatever superhero powers God gifted them with to do this!

  2. I love the Zoo Borns! These are so cute and kids adore and are fascinated by animals, especially BABY animalsI Me too! 🙂
