Every member of our family at The Mailbox strives to make an increasingly significant difference in the quality of learning of children. However, on occasion, select family members can be persuaded to pose for the camera with only a minimal amount of prodding from a mischievous editor.
In celebration of National Literacy Month, we share our love of reading!

In our school each summer each staff member takes a picture of themselves reading somewhere. Then we make a bulletin board in our main hallway that says “KES Loves Reading.” As the year progresses, the kids bring in pictures of themselves reading and we add them to the board. The community really loves to look at all those pictures. We see people reading in other countries, in their pool, at their house, with their children or pets, etc. It is a great display!

I love catching my students doing good things. I keep a photo album in my classroom library full of pictures of students doing good things. The students love it! 🙂
