An Irish Wonder

Lep Blog ArtHave you ever wondered why all leprechauns are men? I mean really, how can this be possible? There must be some lady leprechauns somewhere, right? In my search for an answer—which, unfortunately, I didn’t find—I realized my knowledge of these tiny green fellas was mediocre, to say the least. Leprechauns are supposedly humble shoemakers. And they have their own pots of gold? I’m thinkin’ they must be working for Jimmy Choo! I also didn’t know a leprechaun can grant wishes—supposedly three. This means if I capture one, I could get a pot of gold and two more wishes? Cool! Now all I have to do is listen for the tap-tap-tapping of a leprechaun’s tiny cobbler hammer to know that he’s near!

I’ll be wearing green tomorrow, how about you?

Diane

PS: Do you know why you can’t borrow money from a leprechaun? It’s because he’s always a little short! ;+)

  1. I’m definitely wearing all the green I can find. Over the years, I’ve been able to acquire a few fun St. Patty’s day items.

  2. Well I am wearing green already. Today when my 4 year class came in they found a bottle labeled with Lucky the Lephrechaun’s brew (juice with green food coloring added) For Kids only under my chair. It was clearly marked do not drink adults. Well this teacher just add to taste it. My legs and feet began to tingle and itch. When I took off my shoes to see my feet and legs were green. The kiddos loved it.
Before the kids arrived I wiped my feet and lower legs with green food coloring. You know those lephrechauns love to play tricks on teachers.

  3. I’m on spring break. I probably won’t be getting out of my pajamas tomorrow. 😉
Every year, our spring break falls during the week containing St. Pat’s Day. It’s a real bummer. There’s so much fun/learning that can be done on that day.
