Yesterday was a great day. Fellow editor Krystle Jones was working on a reproducible partner game for The Mailbox® magazine, Intermediate. We had talked over the idea and were both sure it was going to be great. Then, when Krystle started working on it, several issues popped up. So we sat down to problem-solve. Boy! We hit one wall after another. Several times, we just looked at each other wondering if there was a solution.

All of a sudden I have a zillion workshop questions! A few days ago I had a wonderful workshop experience, and it got me wondering… How many workshops do teachers attend in a normal school year? What do teachers enjoy most about workshops? Do they have favorite workshop topics? Do they have favorite types of workshops?

Our team of editors has a birthday tradition. Whenever a birthday rolls around, we treat the birthday girl to lunch. It’s a fun way to enjoy a good meal and good company, while leaving shop talk back at work.The folks on our floor meet periodically in the break room for what basically turn out to be mini food marathons.
