Before joining The Education Center in 1996, Debra was an elementary school teacher in Apex, North Carolina. She has worked as an editor on The MAILBOX, TEACHER'S HELPER, The Mailbox BOOKBAG, and dozens of The Mailbox Books. She also helped launch The MAILBOX Companion Web site. Currently, she is the editorial administrative manager and responsible for managing the internet department.
