Happy Monday to you! I know, I know. Happy Monday might be a stretch. Hopefully your Monday is going well, but just in case it’s gotten off to a shaky start, here’s something that’s sure to improve it!

In case you didn’t know, each spring we introduce new titles from The Mailbox Books. This spring, the topics range from arts and crafts to literacy to math to classroom management. And guess what…I’m going to give away two of our brand-new books! All you have to do is respond to one of my April blog posts. If you respond to one blog post, your name gets added to the drawing one time. If you respond to a second blog post, your name gets added another time, and so on. So far, counting this post, there are six April posts. And there will be more! So check out the new books at TheMailboxBooks.com and check back here for more blog posts (and more chances to win)! This book giveaway ends at midnight on April 30! Now, didn’t your Monday just get a whole lot better?

Smiles!
Diane

Mondays are usually a hectic day for me but my students are usually on their best behavior and desire to be at school. Overall its a good reminder to focus on making it a “Happy Monday”!

Monday’s are actually the best day of the week for our class. All the students come back sleepy from the weekend and usually don’t give us too many problems. Thanks for the post.

I love Mondays! The students are ready to come back, they’re rested, and excited to share everything they did over the weekend.

I don’t really care for Mondays, but try to make the best of them. We started a unit on baby animals and decided to add us as babies with it. We will compare our baby pictures with now pictures and see if they can find the right match. I also added my baby picture in. The children loved it.

Monday wasn’t too bad. I did have the kids asking why I wasn’t teaching (I’m a student teacher and this is my last week). So, maybe just a bit sad, but the kids do a great job of cheering me up :).

I don’t mind Mondays too much. Usually my students come in tired from the weekend, so we get off to a calm start. My class was excited for this Monday because we are doing a unit on countries of the world and we are traveling to Mexico. They made maracas to remember the country, and they loved it.

That is great news for any day of the week! I just finished using an Earth Day activity that was published in one of your books, and the kids loved it. Thanks for the great ideas!

Thanks for the Monday boost! I had such a wonderful weekend that coming back this time was a bit more difficult…but I definitely love seeing the kids and hearing their stories. As you can imagine they are more than happy to share….all day if given a chance!!!

My Monday went by pretty quickly today. We started out in my Kindergarten class with our usual calendar and weather activity. Then, since we are doing a unit on bugs and insects, we read the book The Very Clumsy Click Beetle by Eric Carle. The kids loved it! Next we had a Math lesson, then snack time, and then the library lady from our public library came to read a story about protecting the earth. Then she talked about the activities that are happening at the library the rest of this month. Soon it was lunch time, and since we have all-day Kindergarten, we have a rest time after lunch. After that we went outside to enjoy the sunshine, and after that we had computer class. After computer class we had to get ready to go home and that was our day! Tomorrow we will be making some large click beetles! Ta-ta from Illinois!

I actually like Mondays. They seem to go by quickly. My kids look forward to the week’s new reading story.

I love Mondays. I teach reading and I am always eager to read with my students. I find that Thursdays are my long days I always have meetings on those days!
