Is it spring yet? I’ve reached the point where I’m tired of pulling on ten layers to go outdoors. I don’t want any more warm beverages. And those boots that I so love to step into in November? Well, let’s just say they aren’t looking as cute as the sandals I saw in a store the other day.

I think I’m so ready for spring because this winter has been unusually snowy for almost everyone. Have you had a lot of snow this winter? How has it affected you and your efforts to teach? Are your youngsters feeling antsy? Are your students and you ready for spring? Drop me a line and let me know how things are in your neck of the woods.

Your frozen friend,

Kim

greetings from nicosia cyprus…another unusually warmer winter climate.fortunately we had more rain than usual this winter and about 5 weeks of cold but no snow. kids have to drive to the mountains to see the white stuff…if they are lucky.coming from canada i know what you are talking about but not easy for my 3 to 4 year olds to relate to our winter themes.

I love the snow. We usually don’t get that much in Va, but what a change this year. The DC area was crazy!! We’ve maxed out our “built in” days so I hope we don’t get any more big snows. The kids I teach don’t want to miss any more school either because they know it’ll mean make-up days. I do peruse the Farmer’s Almanac to see what is projected…for the VA area it says more to come in March! I’ll keep the hot tea and cocoa on the front burner for awhile.

Greetings from Maine. We haven’t had any amount of snow in 4 weeks, unusual for us. This time of year I usually fill my water table with fresh clean snow and supply pails/shovels from the summer sandbox and a few spray bottles full of colored water along with some mittens. The kids love this but I haven’t been able to offer it b/c we don’t have enough snow!!! I want to move into spring idea mode but I know we still have another month with serious winter snows lurking.

    Cheers

Hello from Greece!!!!No heavy winter here, it was a bit of a problem talking about cold with 15-20 oC outside, let alone snowmen and everything! I was gathering so many ideas from your magazines and blogs on Internet, that I couldn’t wait to introduce them to my kindergarten students but only half of them did I manage to talk about…:-((
Thanks for everything you’re doing for us!!!!!!
