Now that you’ve had a chance to read the August/September issue, The Mailbox® magazine editors want to hear what you think! We write the magazine with you and your students in mind, and we want it to be the best it can be—for YOU!
Won’t you take a minute to flip through the issue and let us know what you think? Which ideas and activities have you marked to use with your students? Which ideas will help you as you organize your classroom in the fall? Why? We’d love to hear what’s on your mind.
As you comment, please remember to tell us which grade-level issue you are referring to. The editors are counting on you!

I always love reading The Mailbox magazine and using the ideas. We do a schoolwide theme every year and I can usually use some of the ideas and reproducibles from your magazine, but this year I couldn’t find anything on our theme. I would love it if anyone had ideas for a KEY theme. I think our slogan for this year is going to be something like Learnin is The KEY to Success. I teach Kindergarten, so I can use most ideas. If they are too high for my kids, I try to adapt them. Thanks ahead of time.
I am not a new teacher, but I am new to my grade level this year. I love that I can use my 1st Grade Mailbox magazine for quick, easy and ready to use ideas for my first graders. I also love all of the teacher tips. Many of them have helped me manage my classroom over the years. I have sometimes used them exactly as they are in the magazine, or changed them slightly to fit my needs. Keep publishing great magazines and I will keep reading them!
I love Mailbox for preschool. It is such a great resource. I especially love the online extras. I go through alot of computer ink to make sure I don’t miss anything. Keep up the great work!!!
I absolutely love the Mailbox books. I have them from 1999 and keep referring back to them..
I also can not wait for each new issue to come in the mail. I have used several ideas from the magazines. Because I love all the activities I share the magazine with my sister who also works in daycare. I work with the 2-3 year olds and it is not always easy to find activities for them. The mailbox magazine for preschoolers gives me plenty and I don’t have to do alot of searching for good projects and activities. Keep up the good work.
I love love my mailbox magazine. I can’t wait for each issue to arrive. I get the kindergarten magazine and enjoy reading it cover to cover. I am a ripper so I tear out all the pages and file them away by themes and topics. I love the book activities that goes along with literature. This summer I have worked hard to pull all these sections and place them in a folder with the book and the activities and put them in my theme folders. This way I will have everything right at my fingertips when do a topic and I can include book activities too. This will increase reading skills and the love of literature. The only thing I would change about the magazine is that it would come more often!!!
I have just subscribed to the preschool Mailbox after years of buying them at the school supply store. I got really tired of seeing that little computer sign and not being able to go online for all the extras! I keep all my past issues sorted by month. Each month I pull out that month’s back issues and get my planning done in record time! I especially like the sections that connect books with activities that promote literacy. I’m eagerly awaiting my first issue, but I made sure when I called in the subscription that I got information on how to start using this site! I’m getting ideas from it while awaiting the “snail mail”!
I just absolutely LOVE the ready made center games that come in the 2/3 Mailbox!!!!! I have gone thru my past Mailbox magazines to make copies of these centers because I’m going to be implementing these center games this year. Once my students finish their work - and time is not up for centers - they will be allowed to pick a game to quietly play with a partner until time is up. I would like to see more of these ready made games in future magazines.
I enjoy every edition of the Preschool Mailbox. I already used the color mixing idea:) Quite a few of the color activities are something I will use in the near future
Love the mailbox magazine. Use it when writing my lesson plans for preschool. So many good ideas that fit right in with my plans. Will use the color ideas from the current preschool issue as one of the first skills when go back in Sept.
I love the mailbox magazine. I teach multi grade levels in special education and the primary edition is wonderful because it meets many grade levels without costing a fortune by having to buy different magazines for each level. It has fantastic ideas and makes it easier to the ideas needed to teach.
I LOVE this issue!!!I subscribe to the preschool edition and I just love all the wonderful center ideas. I can never get enough! I can easily adapt many of them to fit 2 year olds. I love the feature on Colors you help make it fun! Thank you, I can’t live W/O this magazine!
