Mark your calendar: Wednesday, March 3, 2010, is World Read Aloud Day. Visit www.litworld.org to find free activity sheets, printable posters and certificates, sample lessons, and more. While you’re there, register for updates too!

The Doodle 4 Google contest is open! This year’s theme is “If I Could Do Anything, I Would…” Students in grades K-12 are invited to participate by creating a Google logo that conveys the theme. Get all the details at www.google.com/doodle4google. Register your class by March 17, 2010. The winning doodle will be featured on the Google homepage on May 27, 2010.

Math Contests and More!

Registration is now open for World Math Day, to be held March 3, 2010. This is an online math competition in which students compete against one another to correctly answer the most math questions in 24 hours. Last year over 1.9 million students ages 5-18 answered more than 450 million math questions during the event.  To register, visit www.worldmathday.com.
